The clay ingot mold is shaped from soft clay and, after baking, when molten metal is poured in, can be broken to form a metal ingot. Do not attempt to break it until it reads that it is solid, or it will spill and never be obtainable again. The mold can be heated in the sun or a furnace to harden it.
